Sims 4 Studio (Harmony) is updated with new batch fixes including one that fixes CC bottoms that cause a male Sim’s lower half to vanish when wearing them. It appears this resulted from an EA patch that broke these garments:
Others will fix CC that was made using swim and underwear tags that EA outdated in a patch. This CC is identifiable as a second swim or underwear category in CAS. This batch fix will get rid of that, so all swim and underwear are together in one category again. A new version of Studio for Mac (Appletini) with these batch fixes will be available soon.
Several fixes have been made that will make Studio more tolerant of atypical packages (won’t crash when you open them or when they’re in your Mods folders). Additionally, the bug that was messing up “Add CAS Part swatch” packages has been fixed. Studio’s error reporting has also been improved. Some issues that may have been causing some people to experience difficulty using Harmony have been addressed.
I cannot stress enough that many people who were unable to run Studio (Harmony) found their problem was solved by updating their OS using standard Microsoft updates. This is especially true for creators who are on an older OS. If you are having problems getting Studio to run, please be sure your system is up to date. Unlike Jackpot, Harmony takes advantage of new additions to the .NET Framework and it requires this to be up to date to run. You can get the update from Microsoft HERE.
Another person reported that her problem using Blender in conjunction with Studio was solved when she updated her video card drivers. Studio is compatible with OSs back to and including Win XP, but it cannot run if the system is not kept up to date. Also, keep in mind that Win XP is no longer supported by the Blender developers. Reports from the Blender community indicate the last version of Blender that reliably runs on Win XP is Blender 2.70. If you’re on Win XP and you’re having trouble running Blender with Studio, make sure you have 2.70.
